    Bently Nevada 991 Thrust Transmitter The 991 Thrust Transmitter is intended primarily for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors, or fans who prefer to provide a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional axial displacement (thrust) signal as the input to their machinery control system. The transmitter is a 2-wire, loop-powered device that accepts input from our 3300 NSv* proximity probe and its matching extension cable (available in 5 m and 7 m system length options).  The transmitter conditions the signal into appropriate engineering units proportional to the shaft’s axial position1, and provides it as a 4 to 20 mA industry-standard signal for input to the control system where machinery protection alarming and logic occurs2. The 991 transmitter provides the following notable features: • Integrated Proximitor* Sensor requires no external unit • Non-isolated “PROX OUT " and "COM" terminals plus a coaxial connector provide a dynamic vibration and gap voltage signal output for diagnostics3. • Non-interacting zero and span potentiometers under the Transmitter label supports loop adjustment. • Test Input pin allows quick verification of loop signal output, using a variable DC voltage source as the input. • A Power-up Inhibit circuit eliminates signal errors due to line voltage transients. • A Not OK/Signal Defeat circuit prevents high outputs or false alarms due to a faulty proximity probe or loose connection. • Choice of DIN-rail clips or bulkhead mounting screws as standard options simplifies mounting. • Potted construction for high humidity (up to 100% condensing) environments. • Compatibility with 3300 NSv proximity probe allows transducer installation in small areas with minimal clearance, typical of centrifugal air compressors.     The autumnal equinox The autumnal equinox is one of the twenty-four solar terms.  It starts around September 23rd each year, when the sun reaches 180 degrees (autumnal equinox) at the Douzhiyou.  In the "Explanation of the Seventy Two Seasons of the Moon":  "In the middle of the eighth month, the autumn equinox is observed."  "The equinox is equal, and this is half of the ninety days, so it is called the equinox."  The equinox is half, which is the midpoint of the ninety days in autumn. Phenomena on Earth The sun shines almost directly on the equator, and thereafter the direct point of  the sun continues to move southward, hence the autumnal equinox, also known as the equinox. At the autumnal equinox, the world has equal length of day and night.  After the autumnal equinox, the days in the northern hemisphere gradually shorten and  the nights gradually lengthen, while in the southern hemisphere, the days and nights gradually shorten.  After the autumnal equinox, the range of polar nights near the North Pole gradually increases  from the North Pole, and the range of polar days near the South Pole gradually increases from the South Pole. In the ancient Chinese book "The Flowing Dew of Spring and Autumn, the Entry and Exit of Yin and Yang", it is said:  "The autumnal equinox is a combination of yin and yang, so the day and night are evenly divided while the cold and heat are flat. " The meaning of "autumnal equinox" is twofold: firstly, the sun reaches 180 degrees on the yellow path at this time,  and the day and night are evenly divided 24 hours a day, with 12 hours each; Secondly, according to  the ancient Chinese seasonal division system that began with the beginning of spring, beginning of summer, beginning of autumn,  and beginning of winter, the autumnal equinox falls within 90 days of autumn, dividing autumn equally.
