Commonly referred to as a motor starter, this device is part of the SMC Flex product family that is designed to implement protective motor starting and stopping methods such as Soft Start, Kickstart, Current Limit, Pump, Control, Dual ramp start, Full Voltage Start, Coast, Soft Stop and Smart Motor Braking. It has an operating voltage 208-460VAC, 3-Phase, at 50/60Hz. It supports operation with line-connected and Delta-connected motors. This soft-starter is rated 201 Amperes, 150 HP at 460 VAC voltage while the control voltage is 100-240 VAC rated.
The 150-F201NBDB Controller is a solid-state Smart Motor Controller or soft starter which is an electronic device that combines the functions of a contactor and an overload switch. For short circuit protection, add a motor circuit breaker to the smart motor controller. It is a small controller that leaves more free installation space on panels than other devices do, and it simplifies the inventory in warehouses and the maintenance and troubleshooting processes, and this is what makes this device an ideal upgrade option for legacy electromechanical devices. The 150-F201NBDB Controller provides several operation modes that save energy, like the soft start mode, current limit start mode, kickstart mode, and the soft stop mode.
