It dissipates 6.9 Watts of total heat during operation and it dissipates 0.775 Watts of heat per output point. The 1746-OB8 output module is a DC output module with a voltage rating of 24 Volts DC. Its backplane current consumption rating is 0.135 Amps at 5 Volts DC and it is 0 Amps at 24 Volts DC. The 1746-OB8 output module can withstand up to 3 Amps of surge current per output point for up to 10 milliseconds.
The 1746-OB8 has a design that complies with international standards. It is UL-listed, CE compliant, and CSA and C-Tick certified. It has an operating humidity that ranges from 5 – 95% (non-condensing). When in use, you need to ensure that the temperature does not exceed 60°C or fall below 0°C. You need to store this module in an area that has a temperature range of -40-85°C. The electro-optical insulation between the I/O terminals and control logic device of this module is 1500 V. This module is compatible with Windows programming software or a hand-held terminal (HHT). Therefore, it can be configured easily through your computer.
