1788-EN2FFR Linking Device The 1788-EN2FFR linking device is a Bulletin 1788 linking device. It can link the Ethernet/IP network and a single segment in a FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 layer. The 1788-EN2FFR Ethernet/IP linking device can connect to a power supply and a ControlLogix controller in an Ethernet network and act as an interface between the ControlLogix controller and H1 media such as junction boxes which are connected to different field devics. |

The 1788-EN2FFR linking device is a Bulletin 1788 linking device. It can link the Ethernet/IP network and a single segment in a FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 layer. The 1788-EN2FFR Ethernet/IP linking device can connect to a power supply and a ControlLogix controller in an Ethernet network and act as an interface between the ControlLogix controller and H1 media such as junction boxes which are connected to different field devics. It should not be used with a power conditioner device. The 1788-EN2FFR Ethernet/IP linking device connects to the Ethernet network with an RJ45 connector.
Category 5 shielded or unshielded wire should be used for making the Ethernet connection on the 1788-EN2FFR linking device. For DC power and Foundation Fieldbus network connections, 24 to 18 AWG stranded or solid copper wire rated at 180 degrees Fahrenheit or higher should be used.
