The CQM1 PCs have three operating modes: PROGRAM, MONITOR, and RUN. The PC mode can be changed from the mode selector on the Programming Console.
Four Memory Cassettes are available as accessories to store the program or PC Setup. When pin 2 of the CPU Unitís DIP switch is ON, the contents of the
Memory Cassette will be transferred to the CPU Unit automatically at start-up
PROGRAM mode is used whenmaking basic changes tothe PC program or settings, such as transferring, writing, editing, or checking the program, or changing the PC Setup. The program cannot be executed in PROGRAM mode. Output
points at Output Units will remain OFF, even when the corresponding output bit is ON.
MONITOR Mode MONITOR mode is used when monitoring program execution, such as making a trial run of a program. The program is executed just as it is in RUN mode, but bit status, timer and counter SV/PV, and the data content of most words can be
changed online. Output points at Output Units will be turned ON when the corresponding output bit is ON.
