The DS200VPBLG1A is a PCB component for the Mark V series from GE. The MKV is part of the Speedtronic family of gas and steam turbine management systems. The MKV is built with triple modular redundant (TMR) architecture designed to perform all sequencing, protective functions and critical control algorithms needed to manage and run the turbine and its auxiliaries. These controllers receive their data from triple-redundant sensors. The actual number of sensors in the system will depend on the turbine type and the design of the system. The MKV is designed to be adaptable and scalable, and so all systems are not built to the same specifications.
The DS200VPBLG1A functions as a VME backplane board. This board is designed within a rack system that will accept multiple other boards that plug in to its multiple connectors. The housing that holds the circuit board has a short front section that allows the front side of the board to be exposed, and a higher backside that allows other boards to be inserted. The housing has a top hat flange with multiple screw mounts located on its left and right bottom edge. This allows the entire housing to be installed and secured into place. Please note the housing is a separate assembly from the DS200VPBLG1A board.
