The IC200CPU002 CPU is a CPU module manufactured by GE. The module is used with different PLC modules. It comes with 2048 digital inputs and outputs. The CPU module is equipped with RS-232 and RS-485 serial ports for internal communication. It is equipped with 42 KB of user configurable memory. It uses non volatile flash memory for storing programs and instructions. It supports programming in the ladder diagram and instruction list programming languages. A battery is present in the CPU module that powers the real-time clock. The battery has a lifespan of 5 years with normal usage. The IC200CPU002 CPU is equipped with a Run/Stop switch that helps to start the CPU up and to stop it. Both floating point and real data functions are supported by the CPU module.
The IC200CPU002 CPU uses the SNP slave, RTU slave, and Serial I/O as built-in communication protocols. The accuracy of the real-time clock in the module is 0.01 % and the time of day clock accuracy is 0.0023 % when the temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. The CPU can be mounted in both vertical and horizontal positions by using a DIN rail. The DIN rail should be properly grounded in order to be protected against EMC. The IC200CPU002 CPU is powered with a 5 Volts power supply. The front section of the CPU module has LED indicators that illuminate when activity is present in the module. A Run/Stop switch is present behind the module door that helps to start and stop the data write process or change the isolated data.
