The IC200PNS002 is a VersaMax PROFINET Scanner by GE that interfaces a remote node of VersaMax modules to a PROFINET I/O Controller.
The IC200PNS002 can scan modules, recover input data, and offer output data. It can also print input data at the constructed production rate on the PROFINET network. The IC200PNS002 manages PROFINET communication and module configuration between modules within the remote node and the controller.
Additionally, the scanner manages I/O states rendering to the distinct module configurations if network communications are lost.
The IC200PNS002 consumes 1.10A at 5VDC of power and supports redundant power supplies. Redundant power supplies can be installed on the IC200PNS002 without system operation interference. When installing a redundant power supply, the power source for the supply must be switched OFF.
Once the redundant power supply module is installed into the vacant power supply location, power to redundant supply can be switched on and the PWR LED analyzed to confirm appropriate power supply.
When using the IC200PNS002, mixing of isolated and non-isolated power supplies should not be attempted. If an isolated power supply is used, all power supplies in that area should be isolated power supplies. Mixing non-isolated AC with non-isolated DC power supplies on the PNS or booster has no limitations.
The IC200PNS002 is equipped with 10 LEDs that specify power and display both operating mode and status.
