This cable’s length is 6 feet with a continuous shield. The IC693CBL301 comes with a 25-pin male connector at one end and a two-headed connector at the other end. This expansion cable is used to extend the input or output bus to the expansion baseplate in the 90-30 series PLC system. The custom cable becmes necessary whenever the standard cables are not available in the system’s required length.

The IC693CBL301 expansion cable is installed, exceeding the specified cable length, this leads to erratic operation in the 90-30 series PLC system, therefore, this should be avoided. The user should always verify the specifications of the components within the system. Also, in the expansion system, the user can use a maximum of seven compatible cables. The allowed maximum length of cable between baseplate of CPU and the final remote baseplate is 700 feet, and cable length between the baseplate of CPU and final expansion plate is 50 feet.

Use of the standard IC693CBL301 expansion cables save the time and avoid unnecessary wiring errors. IC693CBL301 expansion cables can make use of two different types of custom cables. The first one is the ‘point-to-point cable.’ This cable has a male connector at one of its end and the female connector at another end. The second cable is known as the ‘Wye cables.’ It consists of a male connector at one of its end and a male and a female connector at another end. The point-to-point cables are faster to build compared to Wye cables.
