GE Fanuc manufactures the IC697CSE784 Expandable Floating Point State Logic CPU as part of the Series 90-70 product line. This module can be programmed in different kinds of programming logic to enhance the real-time control of machines, material handling systems, and application processes. The IC697CSE784 module has RS-422 and RS-485 serial ports that are compatible with different programming and communication purposes. It also features VME, which is a system designed and intended to provide support for the VME standard C.1. This module has an internal timing accuracy of ±3.5 seconds per day with a maximum elapsed time clock rating of ±0.01 percent. When testing the module, the operator needs the IC697CSE784 module, power supply, and a slot rack for the test to be carried out properly. When the processor experiences a problem, the top LED turns off or blinks.
The GE Fanuc Series 90-70 IC697CSE784 Expandable Floating Point State Logic CPU allows for programming in the Relay Ladder Logic, the State Logic, and the IC to enable it to perform various applications. If the users suspect there is something wrong with the IC697CSE784 CPU, it should be left on in the run mode overnight or throughout a period of at least 24 hours to see whether it remains on in the run mode. If it does not stay powered on in the run mode, then the users may need to have it repaired. This state logic CPU is a 32-bit CPU and it has a 16-megahertz microprocessor. The LED on top of the device means the device is functioning properly, the second LED indicates that the device is on in the run mode, the third LED is for indicating that the CPU is in the output enabled state, and the fourth LED is the "Memory Protect LED."
