The IC697MEM719 memory module is a GE Fanuc CMOS expansion memory module. It is made for use on the GE CPUs or Series 90-70 PCMs.
The GE Fanuc IC697MEM719 CMOS memory module is available in either 64, 128, 256, or 512 KB of memory capacity and it is commonly used on the GE 771 CPUs, the GE 772 CPUs, or the PCMs. The IC697MEM719 expansion memory module can be used on the PCM or CPU and it does not require the use of additional slot configurations for either data storage or for program storage. The memory can be used for the expansion of logic and data memory when it is installed as the daughterboard in the system and resides in the same slot as the module that it serves. The IC697MEM719 memory module has the ability to retain information in its memory even in the event of power loss. This is made possible through the built-in memory that is on the baseboard housing. Moreover, the logic program memory is checked for errors continually by the PLC, the CPU, or as a background task. The PCM error checks the storage memory whenever the power cycles in the case of a hard or a soft resetting.
The GE Fanuc Genius I/O IC697MEM719 CMOS expansion memory module should be installed in accordance with the applicable programmable controller installation manual. During installation, the installers should verify that the rack power has been turned off first. The 64-pin connector should be plugged into the connector on the baseboard, and the installers should engage all the snaps. After all of the proper installation steps have been , the installers should place the IC697MEM719 memory module in rack and switch on the power. For CPU installation, memory clearance is made through the use of the MS-DOS software or by using the Windows programming software. For the PCM, follow all of the manufacturers' instructions to ensure proper installation
