The MVS-8100C/CPCI is installed in a CompactPCI backplane, or, during development, in a PCI-based PC, using a CompactPCI-to-PCI bridge adapter. The MVS-8100C/CPCI is controlled by a host computer, which can be:
• On a CompactPCI board in the CompactPCI system slot
• In a standalone PC connected to the CompactPCI backplane by means of a
CompactPCI-to-PCI bridge adapter. 
Power to the board is provided through the CompactPCI bus for +5 VDC and –12 VDC. The +12 VDC power is provided through a connection to the host computer’s power supply. The board dissipates 12.3 watts maxim
um, excluding camera power. Table 12 lists the power requirements. 
Each camera port can provide up to 6 W of 12-volt power (0.5 A) and is fused with a 1 A PolySwitch resettable fuse. Each light port can provide up to 3 W of 12-volt power (0.25 A) and is fused with a 0.5 A PolySwitch resettable fuse.
